Betty Lou Stamper

September 15, 1920 — February 8, 2011

Betty Lou (Speak) Stamper originally of Kirksville, Missouri passed away on February 8, 2011 in Wichita, Kansas.
She graduated from high school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1939 and married Wesley “Bud” Stamper on March 22, 1943. They never had children, but were fortunate enough to see many parts of the world because of Bud’s job of over thirty five years with Bechtel construction out of San Francisco.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, her parents Fred and Nola Speak of Kirksville, sisters, Mildred Lucas of Harlan, Iowa, Mary “Bobbie” Diehl of Redondo Beach, California, Helen Rollins of Wichita, Kansas and a brother, William D. Speak of Palmyra, Missouri.
Betty is survived by a sister-in-law, Gloria Speak of Fort Worth, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Betty will be remembered for her great stories and adventures of her world travels and most of all for how she was always there to help out when needed.
Betty was cremated and no service will be held. Interment was in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
