Maxine Casto

Maxine Casto, 96, of Excelsior Springs, MO, (formerly of Pollock, MO) passed away March 6, 2011. She was born January 26, 1915 in Pollock, MO, the daughter of Lawrence and Birdie (Morlan) Tucker.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Henry Casto, her parents, her brother Ardis Tucker and her sisters Arlean Lull and Bernadean Tucker.
Maxine is survived by her son Gary Casto or Excelsior Springs, MO, granddaughters Paula Collins and husband Bruce of Excelsior Springs and Lyndi Babb of Kearney, MO, and great-grandchildren Kelsey and Kara Collins, Jordan, Joshua, and Jacob Babb. She is also survived by a sister, Genevieve Dickerson of Unionville, MO.
Maxine was a faithful member of the Pollock Community Bible Church where she played the piano. She was also a dedicated member of the Pollock community.
Funeral services for Maxine Casto will be at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 10, 2011. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Eric Hoover will conduct the service with musical numbers “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art” sung by Brenda Collins. Casket bearers will be Bruce Collins, Jordan Babb, Joshua Babb, Jacob Babb, Jimmie Howard, and Steven Jordan. Interment will be in the Scobee Cemetery in Pollock, MO.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Pollock Community Bible Church and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
