Richard Franklin Booth, 50 of LaPlata, MO passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The son of James and Delores (Cox) Booth, Richard was born June 28, 1960 in Kirksville, MO. On August 20, 1988 in LaPlata, MO he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Williams who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Delores Booth of Kirksville; one son, Ambrose Booth of LaPlata, MO; one daughter, Kathleen Booth of LaPlata, MO; two brothers, Thomas Booth of Japan and James Booth of Kirksville; one half-brother, Buddy Booth of Kirksville and one half-sister, Beatrice of Kirksville.
He was preceded in death by his father; two half-sisters, Jackie Hatcher and Joann; one half-brother, Harvey Booth and two half-brothers in infancy.
Richard was reared in Kirksville where he attended the Kirksville schools. He received his GED and attended the Kirksville Area Technical Center, studying graphic arts. He was employed at the Shoe Factory until it closed. Richard was a member of the LaPlata Baptist Church. He enjoyed being with his family.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Indian Hills Cemetery with Reverend Mac McCully officiating. Interment will following in the Indian Hills Cemetery north of Gifford, MO.
