Robert Cleo Blanchard

Robert Blanchard, 87, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, MO, on Monday, April 18, 2011. He had been a resident there for three years.

Robert Cleo Blanchard was born in Unionville, MO, on November 27, 1923, the son of Charley and Eliza (Miller) Blanchard, who preceded him in death. Robert was reared and lived all of his life in Unionville. He worked for a time at the Box Factory in Centerville, IA, but spent most of his working life as a handyman and mowing yards. Robert liked to garden and collect old coins. He was quiet and reserved and also very kindhearted.

Robert is survived by a sister, Mary Durbin, of Waynesville, MO, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Arthur Hall, and two sisters, Polly and Nellie Hall.

Graveside services for Robert Blanchard will be at the Unionville Cemetery, Unionville, MO, on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 2:00 pm. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in the Unionville Cemetery.
