Anetta Maxine Shores

Anetta Maxine Shores, 94 of Clarence passed away Friday (May 13, 2011) at the Clarence Nursing Home.

The daughter of Henry L. and Zetta (Foss) Heather, she was born September 16, 1916 in LaPlata, MO. On November 18, 1963 in Centralia, MO she was united in marriage to Francis Shores, and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Henry Francis Heather.

Maxine is survived by a step son-in-law, Jim Middleton of Kirksville; step grandchildren, Cathy Middleton, James Middleton, Chris Clair and Donna Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

Maxine was raised in the LaPlata area and attended the LaPlata schools. She and he husband were engaged in farming in the Brashear area for many years. She also worked as a cook in a restaurant in LaPlata.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 17, 2011) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Stan Hudson officiating. Burial will be in the LaPlata Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Glen Dodd, Randy Shores, Tony Shafer, Donnie Shores, Douglas Jacobs and Kenneth Conn.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the
