Cleo Trader, 90, of Arcadia, CA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 22, 2011.
Cleo Marie Trader was born in Newtown, MO, on March 17, 1921, the daughter of William Hugh and Clara Mae (Lethco) Hendrex, who preceded her in death. She lived most of her young life in Newtown and graduated from Newtown High School in 1939. On March 30, 1954 she married Kenneth Trader in Miami, OK, and he preceded her in death.
Cleo and Kenneth lived many years in Kansas City, MO, where Cleo worked in retail sales for Sears and Roebuck until her retirement. She moved to the state of California after Kenneth’s death to be near family.
Cleo’s family had a special gathering on a wonderful day to help Cleo celebrate her 90th birthday. She was a wonderful aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, and great-great-great aunt and will be sadly missed. The family will warmly remember all the good times they shared with Cleo.
Others who preceded Cleo in death are sisters Margaret and Ruby and brothers Herb, Niel, and Ruben Hendrex.
Graveside services for Cleo Trader will take place at the Newtown Cemetery on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Memorials are suggested to the Newtown Cemetery and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th, Unionville, MO, 63565.
