Glen Feddersen, 74, of Livonia, MO, passed away at his home on Friday, July 15, 2011, after a battle with cancer.
Glen Paul Feddersen was born in Davenport, IA, on July 31, 1936, the son of John and Velma (Chrysler) Feddersen, who preceded him in death. He entered the United States Air Force in 1955 and served in active duty and the Reserves until 1963. He achieved his GED while in the service. Glen also farmed and drove a truck in the DeWitt, IA, area. On January 9, 1971, he married Barbara Jones in Moline, IL, and she survives at home in Livonia.
Glen retired in 2004 and he and Barbara moved to Livonia, MO, where he was engaged part-time in farming with Marion Sadler. Glen loved his grandkids and also enjoyed fishing and doing anything outdoors, especially being on the farm.
Others who survive Glen are his two sons, Glen Alan (Janelle) Feddersen of Springfield, IL, and Kevin (Trisha) Feddersen of Denton, TX; and a daughter, Sherri (William) Batts of Dubuque, IA. Six grandchildren survive as well as three brothers and two sisters.
Glen was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan Fedderson, who died at birth, and three brothers.
Funeral services for Glen Fedderson will be at the Omaha Baptist Church on Monday, July 18, at 2:00 pm. There will be no visitation. Glen’s wishes were to be cremated and his cremains will be interred in the Rock Island National Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
