Steven Cullum

Steven Mark Cullum, 51, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Unionville, MO, passed away at his home due to complications from an 18-month battle with cancer on Sunday, August 14, 2011,. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Steve was born July 17, 1960, in Unionville, the son of Alvin and Grace Cullum. He graduated from Unionville High School in 1978 and worked for the Unionville Fire Department for thirteen years and the Ambulance District for seven years. He married Nancy on June 25, 1994. Throughout his life, Steve enjoyed fishing and hunting. Some of his favorite memories were of taking his children camping.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 25, at Playle-Jones Family Funeral Home, in Unionville, with Pastor Kevin Collins officiating. Steve will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed.

He is survived by his caregiver, Nancy; children, Josh age 13, Cassandra age 15 and Ashley age 24; mother, Grace Cullum; brother, Mike Cullum and family; and sister, Bessie (Betsy) Timmerberg and family; as well as other relatives and friends. His father, Alvin Cullum, and niece, Stacy Cullum, preceded him in death.
