Mildred Millie Staton

Mildred (Millie) Marie Staton, 58 of Greentop passed away Tuesday (Sept. 6, 2011) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Mildred was born April 9, 1953 in Kirksville, the daughter of Clyde and Leanna (Ledford) Barnhart. She graduated high school from Adair County R II and studies nursing at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. Mildred loved nursing and caring for people. Throughout her adult life, she worked at hospitals and nursing homes in Missouri and Iowa.

Mildred is survived by her children, Stacie Ayers of Carlisle, IA, Michelle Dundee of Gorin, MO and Michael Staton of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren, Madison, Jillian, Aden, Jade and Emma; brothers, Ronnie, Larry, Edward and Paul Barnhart of Greentop, MO and Jeff Barnhart of Craig, CO; sister, Beatrice and Stan Grant of Troy, IL; two nieces, Natasha and Krista and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandchild, Thomas Watt.

Visitation with carry in lunch will be at 12:00 noon on Sunday (Sept. 11, 2011) at Greentop Methodist Church. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday(Sept. 11, 2011) at Greentop Cemetery.
