Pearl Harris

March 5, 1922 — September 24, 2011

Pearl Harris, 89 of Kirksville passed away Saturday (Sept. 24, 2011) at Kirksville Manor Care Center.

The daughter of Everett Willis and Hazel V. (Morris) Warner, she was born March 5, 1922 in Columbia, MO. On December 6, 1943 in Kirksville she married Carl Sanders and to this union two children were born, Carl David and Carol Jean. On December 25, 1965 in Kirksville she married John Harris and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Gary Bender; one great grandchild; five sister, Naomi West, Eunice Booth, Thelma, Street, Daisy Ray and Anna Lee in infancy; three brothers, Clyde Stanley Warner, Ray Warner and Donald McFarland.

Pearl is survived by one son, Carl David Sanders and wife Lynn of Kirksville; one daughter, Carol Jean Shrouf and husband Tom of Novinger; step-son, John Harris Jr. of south Missouri; three sisters, Helen McCarty of Queen City, Virginia Singleton of Kirksville and Ruth Boman of Kirksville; ten grandchildren, David C. Sanders, Victoria Sanders, Nicole Sanders, Todd Krusemark, Kim Nalley, Karla Jo Sanders, Garry Blackburn, Sherry Yadon, Jeff Shrouf and John Bender; 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pearl attended school in the Columbia and Kirksville areas. She worked for fifteen years for McGrew Edison in Kirksville until she retired.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed fishing, camping, yard saling and cooking.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 27, 2011) at Highland Park Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Dodson officiating.

Pallbearers will be David C. Sanders, Garry Blackburn, Jeff Shrouf, Mike Yadon, John Bender and Kiefer Yadon.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501 660-665-2233
