Visitation for Jerry Bob Shultz, 67, of Unionville, MO will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 between the hours of 5:00-7:00pm at the Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO. Mr. Schultz’s body was cremated according to his wishes. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Jerry Bob passed away at his home on Sunday, November 20th, 2011 after an eight year battle with cancer.
Jerry Bob Shultz was born on February 22, 1944, in Unionville, MO the son of Clyde and Jenny (Mulanix) Shultz. On December 9, 2011, Jerry Bob married Kay Ream in Unionville, MO and two children were born to this union. Jerry Bob was always known as a private man. Jerry Bob retired as a plant manager for MFA propane. He also drove a truck, barbered for a time, and ran a turkey farm. His greatest joys in life were his grandkids and great grandkids.
Jerry Bob is survived by his wife Kay of the home and his parents, Clyde and Jenny Shultz of Unionville, MO. Other survivors are his daughter, Cindy Harbert and her husband, Greg of Unionville, MO; and son Jeff Shultz and wife Candy of Unionville, MO; sisters Penny Blue and husband Chuck of Livonia, MO; and Shelle Howard and husband Kevin of Unionville, MO. Grandchildren are Britany Brundage and husband Reggie, Brant Harbert and wife Summer, Jace Harbert, Brook Fleshman and husband Kyle, and Brandy Shultz. Great Grandchildren are Torqe, Reise, Traylen, and Aiden.
Jerry Bob was preceded in death by grandparents Roy and Katie Mulanix, and Harley and Nita Shultz, parents-in-law Dale and Virginia Ream and a sister, Candace Shultz.
Memorials are suggested to the Stringtown Christian Church and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th, Unionville, MO, 63565.
