Patricia Ruhl

Patricia Ruhl, 58, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, MO, on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, after an eight month battle with cancer.
Patricia Ann Ruhl was born in Davenport, IA, on February 1, 1953, the daughter of Eldon and Wanda (Richmond) Ruhl. She was reared in the Quad-Cities area and graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, IL. After High School she married Darrell Doose and they began a landscaping business that took them to the state of California for a time. They later divorced and Patricia returned to the Quad-cities where she worked cleaning houses for several people. She moved to Unionville, MO, in 2006 to be near her mother.
Patricia was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Albia, IA. She loved to own and ride horses. Patricia liked to be on Facebook where she reconnected with many old child hood friends and had many other friends as well.
Patricia is survived by her mother and step-father, Wanda and James Gooch of Unionville, MO. She is also survived by her three sons, all of Unionville: John Doose, Shaun Doose and wife Patty, and William Yost. Her four grandchildren are Christian, Jordan, and Courtney Doose, and Amanda Jane Doose. She has one surviving brother, Scott Hurry of Menard, IL, and a half-brother, Eldon Ruhl, Jr. A sister also survives, Tabitha Painter of Atkinson, IL, as well as two step-sisters, Debbie and Tammie.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father.
Patricia’s body was cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at the Albia, IA, Seventh-Day Adventist Church @ 527 S. Clinton in Albia. The service will be at 11:00 am on Sunday, December 11th. Contact Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, for more information.
