Helen Geraldine White

Helen Geraldine (Gerry) White was born on June 19, 1919 in Brashear, Missouri and died on December 5, 2011 in Yuma, AZ where she had lived for the past eight years.

Gigi, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was a registered nurse, a fantastic cook that loved entertaining, and a “card shark” always ready to deal those cards!

Survivors include her son, Tom (Carla) White of Sedalia, MO and daughter, Kitsi Tams of Yuma, AZ; grandchildren, Patrick (Penny) Billington, Lisa (Jamie) Volk, Michael Tams, Shelly Graf, Travis (Heather) Tams, Erin (Jose) Naranjo, and Matt (Stacey) Tams; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; five nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Static) White; her parents, Nim and Hazel Patterson; her sister, Dorothy Patterson; and her brother, Max Patterson.

Hospitable and kind are words that best describe our mother and she will be greatly missed by her family and her many, many friends across the United States.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday (December 10, 2011) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Beryl Cragg officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or the March of Dimes.
