Beulah E. Sallee, 74 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (January 10, 2012) at Kirksville Manor Care.

The daughter of Bina and Hadie (Stoneking) Sizemore, she was born February 10. 1937 in Stahl, MO. Beulah was married to Marvin Ownbey and he preceded her in death. To this union three children were born. Beulah was married to Kenneth Sallee and he preceded her in death. To this union three children were born.

Beulah is survived by her children, Cindy Hayes of Kirksville, Tom Ownbey and wife Martaun of LaPlata, MO, Kevin Sallee and Angela Corbin of Kirksville, Keith Sallee and wife Melissa of Pollock, MO and Kent Sallee of Pollock, MO; two brothers, Gilbert Sizemore and wife Pat of Novinger, MO and Jack Sizemore of Novinger, MO; two sisters, Frances Garrett of California and Olive Solomon of Queen City, MO; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Marvin Ownbey; daughter-in-law, Pam Ownbey Williams; two brothers, Alfred Sizemore and Albert (Bud) Sizemore; and two sisters, Kay Garrett and Fern Strait.

Beulah grew up and attended school in the Stahl area. She worked in factories in Kirksville and most of her career was spent working at the Florsheim Shoe Factory, where she worked until she retired.

Beulah loved the outdoors, gardening, raising chickens, music and especially her family.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday (January 13, 2012) at Indian Hill Cemetery near Gifford, MO with Virgil K. Jones officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Sallee, Steven Summers, Andrew Sallee, Derrick Ownbey, Keith Sallee and Kevin Sallee. Honorary bearers will be Heather Rouse, Beth Ownbey, Shashana Carr and Harley Sallee.

Memorials in memory of Beulah are suggested to the Kirksville Manor Care Alzheimer’s Unit.
