Robert (Bob) Sivetts
Robert (Bob) Sivetts, 79, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville on Friday, March 2, 2012. He had been a resident there for about three weeks.
Robert Paul Sivetts was born north of Hartford, MO, on his grandparents’ farm on September 22, 1932, the only child of Pearl and Rosamond (Oliver) Sivetts, who preceded him in death.
Bob attended Unionville High School and then joined the United States Army after High School. He was honorably discharged from the Army on October 13, 1953. Bob spent most of his working career as a truck driver, owning and operating his own rig. He also worked at a farmer’s Coop in Nebraska. Bob returned to Putnam County in 2001 where he enjoined becoming with reacquainted with long time friends and family members.
In addition to his sons and daughters, Bob is survived by a host of friends and family members.
Memorials are suggested to the Thompson Cemetery and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
Graveside services for Bob Sivetts were held at the Thompson Cemetery, east of Unionville, MO, on Monday, March 5, 2012, at 10:30 am. Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Collins conducted the service.
