Cleva (Mason) Jones
Cleva M. Jones, 84, of Kirksville died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Kirksville Manor Care.
She was born on May 21, 1927, in Macon, MO, the daughter of Fred and Lena Pearl (Baker) Mason. On November 6, 1945, in Kirksville, she was married to Harold Jones, who survives.
She is also survived by one son, David Jones and wife Sue of Waynesboro, VA; two daughters, Brenda Barger and husband Mike of Ankeny, IA and Nancy Bieker and husband Tony of Decatur, IL; one brother, Richard Mason and wife Betty of Phillipsburg, MO; two sisters, Hannah Findling of Kirksville and Mary Elizabeth Goalder of Romney, WV; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emmett Mason, Arnold Mason, Waldo Mason, Bob Mason, Prentis Mason, and Alvis Mason; sisters, Cordelia Still and Esther Schroder.
Cleva attended Kirksville Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1945. She was a homemaker and lived in Kirksville her entire life. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and cooking. Cleva was a member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Family graveside committal will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Park View Memorial Gardens.
