Lillie True of Novinger passed away Friday (March 23, 2012) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.

The daughter of Alfred and Rhoda (Mills) Shisler, she was born February 21, 1918 south of Green Castle, MO. On April 28, 1934 in Unionville, MO she was united in marriage to Gerald A. True and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alfred Leon Shisler; sister, Oliva Owings and twin infant sisters; and two grandchildren, Teri and Ladd Partin.

Lillie is survived by one daughter, Viletta T. Partin of Lucerne Valley, CA; one brother, Eldon Shisler of Rock City, IL; two great grandchildren, John Randall Bothwell and Mandy Hartman; one great great grandson, Damien Hartman and several nieces and nephews.

Lillie was a homemaker until 1946 when she and Gerald opened a general store and station, True’s Store, in Connelsville until the store closed in 1973 and her husband continued to run a repair shop. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (March 27, 2012) at the Novinger Cemetery.
