Jasper Brown, 52, of Unionville, MO, passed away at his home on March 31, 2012, after a two year battle with cancer.
Jasper Charles Brown was born in Unionville, MO, on February 3, 1960, the son of Robert (Bob) and Ruth (Hart) Brown. He was reared in Unionville and graduated from Putnam County High School in 1978. Jasper then attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA, where he graduated with a focus in laser technology. He then moved to Columbia, MO, where he worked as a laser technician with 3M.
Jasper later returned to Unionville and worked with Premium Standard Farms for six years until illness forced him to resign. He liked to fish and hunt, but his favorite past time was rock hunting. He had a keen eye for finding Indian artifacts.
Jasper is survived by his father, Bob Brown, of Unionville, MO, his brother, Richard Brown and wife Ellen of Audubon, IA, and his sister, Glenda Brenneman of Kansas City, MO. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Jasper was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Brown, on March 8, 2011.
Jasper’s wishes were to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
