Connie Richmond

Connie Joanne Richmond of near Novinger, Missouri, passed away at her home on April 16, 2012 at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 17 days. Connie was born on September 30, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Bernie E. and Dorothy A. McCarty of Ottumwa, Iowa, who preceded her in death.
She grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa and was united in marriage on May 29, 1960 to Jerry Lonson Richmond, son of Edeart L. and Mildred G. Richmond of near Novinger, Missouri. To this union were born two children, Dennis and Lori.
She was a dedicated wife and loving mother and lived and raised her family in several places during her lifetime in Tennessee, California, Indiana, Iowa and finally in Missouri. She received her RN from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa in 1989 and worked for Adair County Health Department serving her community until her retirement in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents and she is survived by her husband, Jerry of near Novinger, Missouri; her son, Dennis Richmond of Pensacola, Florida; daughter Lori Richmond Gieselman of Kansas City, Missouri, 5 grand children and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be officiated by Father Troy Richmond and be held at Playle & Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, Missouri on Saturday, April 21, 2012 @ 11:00am. Visitation will begin one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at Lipp Cemetery, Putnam County, Missouri.
