Mildred Bohn

Mildred Maire Bohn, 77, of Livonia, MO, found her way to heaven on June 14, 2012. Mildred was a much loved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mildred Bohn was born on October 19, 1934 in Salina, KS, the daughter of Everett and Anna (Jones) Burton. On July 10, 1951 she married Ishmael Bohn in Salina, KS and four children were born to this union. Mildred cared for her family and home in her own special way, never forgetting to take the time to admire the animals and wildlife which surrounded her. Mildred was a social bug and was eager to enjoy the company of a stranger. She also enjoyed reading romance novels, shopping, eating out, Angels, and swooning over Elvis Presley. Mildred’s grandchildren were her prized possessions so much they gave her a special title of “President & Founding Member of the Hysterical Grandmother’s Society,” which she earned proudly.
Mildred is survived by three children; daughter, Viola “Fae” Diaz and husband Guillermo “Willie” of Peoria, AZ; son, Garand Everett Bohn and wife Priscilla of Chapparal, NM; and daughter, Rachel Louise Beranek and husband David of Livonia, MO. Mildred’s surviving brothers are Harold, Bud, and Harry and her surviving sisters are Anne and Barbara. Mildred is also survived by ten grandchildren; Tanya Calef Turner (Carey), Jacob L. Mills, Guillermo Diaz Jr., Sandra Diaz, Melissa Cunningham (Chris), James Bohn, Josiah Bohn (Allison), Adela Meneses (Jesus), Jerry Trevizo, and David Bohn (Shari). Mildred is survived by an additional 19 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mildred was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Marie (Bohn) Hodge.
Mildred’s funeral service was held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2:00pm in Unionville, MO at the Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home. Sam Burkholder officiated the service and her casket bearers were Garand Bohn, Guillermo Diaz, Sr., David Beranek, David Bohn, Jacob Mills, and Jesus Meneses. Interment followed in the Pleasant Home Cemetery in Livonia, MO.
