Beulah May Wood

Beulah May Wood, age 90 of Kirksville, MO passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.

Beulah was the daughter of Charles and Ella Truitt. On September 21, 1941 she was united in marriage to Paul Wood.

She is survived by one daughter, Carletta Sprague and husband Larry of Kirksville, MO; two granddaughters, Carla Palermo and husband Marty of Kirksville, MO, Rhonda Primm and husband Jerrin of Kirksville, MO; three great grandchildren, Tyson Bradshaw and wife Chelsy of Fayette, MO, Devon Doss and husband Adam and Morgan Riley; two great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Truitt of Macon, MO and Hubert Truitt and wife Evelyn of Kirksville, MO; three sisters, Lucille Pearce of Novinger, Lilly Kelly and Norma Boone of Oregon; as well as several nieces and nephews and two sister-in-law Leta Overestreet of Ottumwa, IA and Betty Wood of LaPlata,MO.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Wood, four brothers, Walter, Bobby, Lavern and Max Eldon Truitt; two sisters, Dorothy Klingsmith and Geraldean Hays; one nephew, Randy Truitt, one niece, Sarah Diane Truitt and several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

Beulah was reared in the Pure Air community as child. She and Paul lived on a farm in rural Novinger. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and going to craft shows. She adored her grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville. Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2012 with the family greeting friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO.
