Hilda Stout 98, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (August 15, 2012) at Benchmark Loma Linda Nursing Home in Moberly.

The only daughter of John L. and Mary Ellen (Mayme) (Peebles) Jones, she was born September 18, 1913 on a farm northwest of Queen City, Missouri. She attended rural grade school and graduated from the Queen City High School with the class of 1931.

On March 7, 1942 she was united in marriage to Lyle Stout, who preceded her in death after 70 years and nine days of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a brother in infancy.

Hilda is survived by four children, twins Roger Stout and wife Linda of Blue Springs, MO, Roberta Kellison of Moberly, MO, Margaret Flickinger and husband Walter of Moberly, MO and John Stout and wife Ruth of Blue Springs, MO; ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

She was a farm wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. After selling the Family farm they moved to Blue Springs, MO where she continued to care for her mother until her 100 th birthday. She was always there to lend a hand, cook a meal and just love her family. Her final two years were spent in mostly shadows and little sound as her sight and hearing were quite diminished. She might not remember one minute to the next but she remembered her children and their names.

Hilda was a member of the Queen City Christian Church.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (August 18, 2012) at the Queen City Cemetery with Pastors Jim and Jane Crooks officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Stout, Brent Stout, Dean Flickinger, Brian Flickinger, Lucas Appling, and Lewis Van Houten.

Visitation will be Saturday (August 18, 2012) from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Missouri 63561 660-766-2241
