Diane Kaye Jarvis

Diane Jarvis, 46, of Unionville, MO, passed away suddenly at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO, on Sunday, August 26, 2012, after suffering a heart attack.
Diane Kaye (Jones) Jarvis was born in Iowa City, IA, on July 25, 1946, the daughter of David and Maxine (Buck) Jones, who preceded her in death. She graduated from High School in Iowa City and lived many years in Wellman, IA, where she was a homemaker and mother. Diane moved to Unionville, MO, in 2001 and on December 18, 2003 she married Ellis Jarvis in Unionville and he survives at home.
Diane was the property manager at North Valley Town Homes in Unionville until poor health forced her to resign in 2010. She also worked part-time at Casey’s General Store in Unionville. Diane loved the outdoors, her garden and taking pictures, but she reserved her greatest affection for her family and friends. She loved her children and grandchildren and was a good friend who considered her friends as extended family. Diane was baptized as a young person.
In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by children, Joshua Jones of the state of MN; Shawn Hanson of Volo, IL; Ellis Jarvis, Jr., of the home; Billie Hanson of the state of WI; Samantha Jo Hanson of Unionville, MO; Nicole Vest of the home; and Racheal Hanson of the state of AL. Twelve grandchildren also survive including Sophie, who always put a Twinkle in Grandma’s eye. Surviving brothers and sisters are Nancy Jarvis, Sue Hull, Randy Jones, Robert Jones, John Jones, Ramona Vanerah, Carolyn Swank, and Hattie Behrens. Several nieces and nephews survive as well.
Others who preceded Diane in death are two brothers, David and Max Jones; and two sisters, Helen and Donna Jones.
Funeral services for Diane Jarvis will be at 2:00 pm at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
