Catherine Dace

Catherine Dace, 56 of Kirksville, MO passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at her home.

Catherine was born on August 22, 1956 in St. Louis, MO. The daughter of Frank Palermo, Jr. and Catherine Palermo.

Catherine is survived by her brothers, Carl Palermo & wife Cindy of St. Peters, MO and Marty Palermo & wife Carla of Kirksville, MO; sister, Christina Morris of Kirksville, MO and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Diana Ruth Palermo and Diana Lynn Palermo.

Catherine was reared in St. Louis until she was sixteen. In the early seventies she and her family moved to Sullivan, MO. She also served in the U.S. Navy from June 26, 1975 to June 25, 1979, stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI. She lived in California for a while before returning to Missouri. Recently she moved from St. Clair, MO to Kirksville, MO. She worked for Hazel Manufacturing until the plant closed. She loved all kinds of animals. She enjoyed crocheting and carving about anything. She was extremely talented, loving and caring.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO with David Carter officiating. Entombment will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO with Military rites.
