Eula Mae Young

Eula Young, 96, of Ravenna, NE, (formerly of Unionville, MO) passed away at the Good Samaritan Home in Ravenna on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
Eula Mae (Phillips) Young was born May 1, 1916 in Gasper, NE, the daughter of John and Laura (Clark) Phillips who preceded her in death. She graduated from Beaver City High School in 1934. Eula married Roy Young in Ogallah, NE, on October 29, 1935, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1991.
Eula was a stay-at-home mother. She moved with her husband around Nebraska where he worked until they moved to Kansas City, MO, in 1941. They moved ton Unionville, MO, in 1976 after retirement. Eula moved to Kearney, NE in 1999 to be closer to family.
In Unionville Eula was a member of the Unionville United Methodist Church and the Unionville Country Club where she loved to be with the lady golfers.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eula was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Young, daughter-in-law, Jean (Kellison) Young, and grandson Jeffrey Young. A sister, Dolly Cross, and a brother, Delmar Young, also preceded her in death. She is survived by brother, Willard Phillips, of Kearney, NE, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Eula Young will be at the Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, MO, on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be at Playle & Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, one hour prior to the graveside service.
Memorials for Eula Young are suggested to either the Unionville Cemetery or the Unionville United Methodist Church and may be entrusted to Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
