Otha E. Ralston Jr. 70 of Wentzville, MO died peacefully Saturday (November 24, 2012) at Mount Carmel Senior Living Center in St. Charles, MO.

The son of Otha E. Ralston Sr. and Lorene F. (Warren) Ralston, he was born January 1, 1942 in Kirksville, MO. He was raised in Adair and Macon Counties and graduated from the LaPlata High School in 1959.

In 1960 Otha moved to Kansas City, MO and he married the lovely Barbara Jean Taylor in 1962. On August 11, 1964 their son Richard L. Ralston was born and in 1969 they made their way back to Kirksville where they build a house north of town. Otha began work at J. Burdman Auto Parts. On September 11, 1971 their son Aaron Ralston was born and there they raised their two sons until Barbara’s passing from cancer in 1990.

Otha worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts from 1994 to 2007 in Kirksville, MO; Fulton, MO and Centralia, MO; finally ending up in Wentzville, MO.

On January 4 ^th 2007 he became the proud grandpa of Lola Ralston and Taylor Ralston. Otha retired from O’Reilly Auto Parts in February of 2007.

Otha is survived by his son, Aaron Ralston; daughter-in-law, Michele Ralston; grandchildren, Lola Ralston, Taylor Ralston of St. Charles, MO, Tia Ralston of St. Charles, MO and Thadeus Thompson of Columbia, MO; sister, Linda (Ralston) Borders of Quincy, IL; brothers, Robert Ralston of Macon, MO, and Michael Ralston of Elmer, MO as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Kenneth Ralston; son, Richard Ralston; wife, Barbara; his parents, Otha Ralston Sr. and Lorene Ralston; brothers, Ronald Ralston, Randy Ralston and David Ralston.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday (November 30, 2012) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Raymond Magruder officiating. Burial will be in the Helton Cemetery in Goldsberry, MO.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501 660-665-2233
