Rowdee Valentine
Rowdee Valentine was eight years old when he took his energetic, no-quit attitude to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
He was at home when he died in a shooting accident.
Rowdee Lloyd Valentine was born October 28, 2004, the third child of Robbie and Kelly (Shahan) Valentine.
He joined two older siblings, Chelsey and Gus, whom he looked up to and loved dearly.
He was later joined by an adopted sister, Lexi.
Rowdee was in the second grade at Putnam County R-1 Elementary School in Unionville, MO.
Rowdee was all boy!
He loved to hunt and fish and do chores on the farm.
He played baseball and rode dirt bikes and he did it all full-out, with all his heart.
He was independent and (sometimes) strong-headed, qualities that made him all the more special.
He was a great story teller and had a vivid imagination. He took on an older brother role to the family’s foster children.
Rowdee won the greased pig contest at the Putnam County Fair four years in a row and lived a lifetime in his eight short years.
Rowdee attended Midway Baptist Church with his family and was a lively participant in all the activities there.
Others who survive Rowdee are his grandparents: Carolyn and Fred Haas of Unionville, MO, and Judy Valentine, of Unionville, MO.
His uncles are Jackie Valentine and wife Brenda and first cousins Briar and Montana, and Uncle Tony Valentine.
Great grandmothers are Fern Valentine and Otteline Shoultz.
Those who preceded Rowdee in death are his grandpa Rodger Valentine and his great grandparents Lloyd and Goldie Shahan, Ralph Shoultz and Joe Valentine.
Funeral services for Rowdee will be at the Midway Baptist Church, west of Unionville, MO at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2012, with visitation at the church on Friday, December 14, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm
