Virginia L. (Jenny) Singleton

Virginia L. (Jenny) Singleton, 79 of Kirksville passed away Thursday (December 27, 2012) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Everett W. and Hazel V. (Morris) Warner, she was born January 12, 1933 in Columbia, MO. On October 5, 1948 in Kirksville she married Robert Singleton and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Lumsden; three brothers, Clyde and Ray Warner and Donald McFarland; and seven sisters, Naomi West, Eunice Booth, Thelma Street, Daisy Ray, Anna Lee in infancy, Pearl Harris and Helen McCarty.

Jenny is survived by one son, Randy Singleton and wife Mary Ann of Kirksville; one daughter, Mary Lowe and husband Terry of Green Castle, MO; 8 grandchildren, Kate Singleton, Mallory Singleton, Teresa Elsea, Tina Borron, Sheila Sandifer, Don Wheeler, Connie Clay and Lisa Lumsden; several great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; one sister, Ruth Boman of Kirksville and several nieces and nephews.

Jenny attended Kirksville area schools. She worked at Colonial Manor, Laughlin Hospital and KCOM. She enjoyed yard sales, fishing, cooking and being around family especial her grandkids.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday (December 31, 2012) at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville with Virgil Jones officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the
