Cody Bellinger, 22 of Kirksville passed away Sunday (January 13, 2013).


The son of Nancy K. Porter and Allen G. Bellinger, he was born July 7, 1990 in Kirksville, Missouri. He graduated from the Kirksville High School in 2009. He was employed at the north Pizza Hut. He was a drama geek, an avid video game player and Dungeon’s and Dragon’s player and had design his own RPG game.


Cody was a 4-H alumni and a sword collector. He was a kind and caring person who would do anything for you and was always willing to help out his family and friends. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.


Cody is survived by his mother and step father, Nancy and Gary R. Knotts Jr. of Kirksville; his father, Allen Bellinger of Centerville, IA; grandfather, Gale Bellinger of Centerville, IA; step grandparents, Gary and Alberta Knotts Sr. of Kirksville; aunts and uncles, Chuck & Dee Porter of Warsaw, IL, Grace and David Wray of Kirksville, Debra and Allen Malavolti of Marceline, MO, Tammy Bellinger of Des Moines, IA, Trisha Howard of Des Moines, IA and Greg Bellinger of Centerville, IA; cousins, Cary and Tonya Porter and family, Charles and Abby Porter and daughter, Christopher and Amanda Porter and sons, Christina and Jim Kinkade and family, Lindsie and Ben Kelley, David Wray II, Anniessa Wray, Jasmine and Jessica Malavolti, Genda Burns and family, Jessena Burns and family, Dallas Knode, Cheyenne Knode, Aaron Thomas, Jack Howard, Sierra Rummans and daughter, and Saydie Rummans; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Dorothy Porter; grandmother, Jacolyn Bellinger; and aunt, Charmaine Porter.


Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (January 19, 2013) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Charles Porter, Cary Porter, CJ Porter, David Wray II, Remington Rimer, Dakota Bratton, Kevin Carter and Kale Gray.


Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the
