Dana Williams, 50, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.
Dana Christine Williams was born September 23, 1962, the daughter of John and Roxeene (Hughes) Conger. Her younger life was spent in Exline and she attended Cincinnati and Centerville Schools. She also attended Indian Hills Community College.
Dana married Dave Williams on November 20, 1990, in Unionville, MO, and he survives at home.
Dana worked briefly at Community Federal Savings and Loan, but the majority of her life was spent as a mother and grandmother, raising and loving her family. She was an avid arrowhead hunter, spending countless hours in the creeks of Putnam County. Even though she was severely injured in a 1993 automobile accident, she maintained her outgoing and friendly disposition. Dana liked to laugh and visit with friends and family, who will remember her as a straightforward talker. She also enjoyed watching classic black and white movies, but her greatest love was reserved for her family, children and grandchildren. Dana had a big heart and was always there for family members or friends who needed her.
In addition to her husband, Dana is also survived by two daughters, Chira and Allie Conger of Kirksville, MO; and three step-children, David (Lori) Williams of Unionville, MO, Brandon (Teresa) Williams of Russell, IA, and Billie Cole (Lance) Cheramie of Unionville, MO. Also surviving are Dana’s mother, Roxeene Jones and husband Fred of rural Centerville, IA, and father John Conger of rural Seymour, as well as two brothers, Chris (Teresa) Conger of Seymour, IA, and Cliff (Crystal) Conger of Cincinnati, IA. Surviving grandchildren are Jaclyn Prado, Jace Prado, Ian Trent, Brennan Williams, Noelle Kelley, Jace Chester, Alexander Williams, Caley Williams, Aubrey Williams, Iris Williams, Josee Williams, and Canyen Williams. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
