Brock C. Baker, 41 of Brashear passed away Monday (March 25, 2013) at 11:58 a.m. at University Medical Center in Columbia, MO.


The son of Charles W. and Anne Sue (Ambrosia) Baker, he was born March 17, 1972 at Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital.


On September 11, 2001 in Baring, MO, Brock was united in marriage to Sarah Campbell who survives.


Also surviving are his parents, Charles W. and Anne Sue Baker of Brashear, MO; brother, Brett Baker and wife Kelli of Brunswick, MO; nephew and niece, Will and MacKenzie Baker; step children, Jessica Rudd of Brashear, MO, Joe Rudd of Topeka, KS and Justin Rudd of Edina, MO; step grandson, Bradey Foster Reardon of Brashear, MO; also uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Annalu Ambrosia and Paul and Grace Baker.


Brock attended and graduated from Brashear High School in 1990. He received an associate of applied science degree in machine technology from Indian Hills Community College. He worked as a tool maker in various machine shops. He then worked for Adair Foods in Kirksville before going to work as a meat cutter for Westerns Meat Market.


He loved to hunt, fish, make jerky, smoke meat, ride motorcycles, 4-wheelers and attend NASCAR events. He loved spending time with his step grandson, Bradey.


Visitation with the family will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday (April 1, 2013) with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Nancy Douglas officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Willmathsville Cemetery in Willmathsville, MO.


Honorary bearers will be Danny Hocker, Terry Nelson, Roy Hamlin, Phillip Hamlin, Bruce Hamlin, Allen Beckett, Phil Patron, Kody Kite, Rodney Roush, Billy Hettinger, Corky Parton, and Curtiss Baker.
