Lillian I. Hennke-Still 86 of Kirksville passed away Monday (April 8, 2013) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.

Lillian was born in Novinger, Missouri on April 6, 1927, the daughter of Kenneth and Rama (McDole) Reese. On October 20, 1962 in Chicago, IL she was united in marriage to Robert J. Hennke and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1994. On December 12, 1998 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to John Still and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert W. Hennke, and a step-son, Fred Still.

Lillian is survived by two sons, James E. Hennke (Jeannine) of Fishers, IN and Bill Hennke (Cindy) of Kirksville; six grandchildren, Scott Hennke of Chicago, IL and Erik Hennke, Brian Hennke and Kevin Hennke of Kirksville, Bobby Hennke and Ingrid Hennke; two great grandchildren, Victoria Hennke and Bentley Hennke of Kirksville; one brother, Truman Reese (JoAnn) of Peoria, Arizona; step-children, Herbert (Millie) Still, Berniece (Robert) Asel, and step daughter-in-law Brenda Still, along with several step- grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Lillian was raised in Kirksville, Missouri where she received her education and was a graduate of Kirksville High School. She moved to Chicago, Illinois where she was employed for several years as a long distance telephone operator for Illinois Bell. After her marriage to Bob she became a full-time homemaker and raised two sons in Chicago. She and Bob later moved to Novinger where she spent the next several years as a homemaker and raising the third son. Later in life she went to work in housekeeping at Twin Pines and was employed there for many years.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday (April 11, 2013) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Grogg officiating. Music will be provided by Melvin Bissey singing, “What A Day That Will Be” and “Good Night, Good Morning” accompanied by Carolyn Turner organist. Entombment will be in Park View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the
