David Hall

September 15, 1959 — April 27, 2013

David A. Hall

David A. Hall went Home Saturday, April 27, 2013, and Heaven now has another angel. Born September 15, 1959, David left a forever lasting impression on every person he met in his 53 years. He was born in Kirksville, raised in Novelty, and became a significant contributor to the people of Adair and Knox County.

Professionally, David was the Kirksville Regional Airport Director, owner and operator of D&R Airmotive, a member of Rotary, Hospice Board and Kirksville Airport Association. Personally, David was a husband, father, brother, uncle and fiercely loyal friend who made lifetime memories with everyone. In all the things David did, it was with one motto, “work hard and play harder”. He loved to be where it was warm, in the sunshine, be it in the air, at a race, on his motorcycle or on the water, with music playing - and the more people involved the better.

In the words of David’s close friend this past Saturday, a less than full moon signified “the heavens are sending a message that a piece is missing and the world is less perfect than a day ago”. David no longer walks among us, but he will keep an eye and loving hand on all of us until we see him again.

David is survived by wife Laurie, daughter Shelby, son Connor, step sons CJ and Ryan Slaughter, sister Mona of Novelty, grand daughter Kinley Hall, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding David in death were his mother Eva (Cribb), father Dale, and infant brother Darryl.

Visitation will began at 6:00 p.m. Thursday (May 2, 2013) with a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Northcutt officiating.

Memorials are encouraged in lieu of flowers and should be sent to the Boone Foundation, in Memory of David Hall to the Oncology Department, 1600 East Broadway, Columbia, MO 65201.
