Lora Faye Staggs

Lora Faye Staggs, age 90 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Thursday evening (June 6, 2013) at the Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Lora was born on November 2, 1922 in Wichita Kansas, the daughter of Ray and Daisy Mills Robertson. On March 28, 1942 in Kirksville, Lora was united in marriage to Lavern (Vern) Staggs who survives. She is also survived by one son Rod Staggs and wife Rhonda of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter Jeanne Staggs Moeller and husband James of Powell, Wyoming; two brothers Wayne Robertson of Wisconsin and Roy (Bud) Robertson, Jr. of Tennessee; one sister Ruthe Musgrove and husband Harry of New London, Missouri: four granddaughters; six great grandson: three great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Lora was preceded by her parents and three sisters.

Lora was a member of the First Christian Church and Hands of Friendship quilt Guild. She loved planting and caring for flowers and Quilting.

A memorial service will be held at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home on Tuesday (June 11, 2013) at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Pitney officiating. Musical selections will “How Great Thou Art,” “Old Rugged Cross” and “In the Garden”. Interment will be in the Pleasant Prairie Cemetery north of Bethel, Mo. The family will receive friends from 1.00 to 2:00 P. M. at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501 660-665-2233

Those who wish to give a memorial may do so to the First Christian Church and contribution can be left at the funeral home.
