Alfred Earl Solomon
Earl Solomon, 72 of Queen City, passed away Saturday
afternoon (June 29, 2013) at the S
chuyler County Nursing Home.
The son of Robert Earl and Gerlene Lena (Newcomer)
Solomon, he was born March 26, 1941, in Kirksville, Missouri. On March 24, 1958,
he was united in marriage to Edith Glaspie.
To this union five children were born, Dean
Solomon and wife Carol, Becky Lusher and husband
Dee, Rosemary Love and husband Tony,
Pam Gregory, and Leon Solomon and wife Brenda who
all survive. He is
also survived by one brother, Mac Solomon and wife Olive, one sister Faye
Elvington and
husband Richard, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one aunt
Wanita
Newcomer,
several nieces and nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents,
and a grandson, Jay Jay Lusher.
He grew up in the Queen City area and
attended the Patterson rural school and Queen City Elementary school.
Earl was a part time farmer until
losing his eye sight. For the last several years he has resided
in the Schuyler
County Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 2:00
p.m. Wednesday (July 3, 2013) at the Lone Pine Cemetery west of Worthington,
Missouri, with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating.
Pallbearers will be Junior Robbins, Joe Robbins, Edward Robbins, Zachary Robbins, Merl Lusher, and George Groseclose. Arrangemetns under direction of Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Missouri, 660-766-2241
