Helena Piper

Helena Piper, 79 of Kirksville, MO passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the South Hampton Place in Columbia, MO.

Helena was born on July 13, 1934 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Ernest Melvin and Freda Faye (Bradford) Sloop.

Helena was reared in the Queen City area and graduated from Schuyler County High School. She worked for a number of hospitals in Kirksville, Kansas City and Columbia, MO.

Helena is survived by many friends from her working career at hospitals and many other acquaintances she made over the years including a very good long- time friend Mindy Cherrington and husband Jim of Columbia, MO and their family; Margaret Day and family, Liz Cherrington, Mary Cherrington, David Cherrington and Will Cherrington.

Helena’s wishes were to be cremated and no service is scheduled.
