Shirley Sprehe


Shirley C. Sprehe 78 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday September 18,
2013.


Shirley was born in Paxton, IL and had one older sister and one younger
brother (both deceased).  Shirley is
survived by her husband, Bob, two daughters, Chris and Linda and three
grandchildren Mandy, Ashley and Ryan.


Shirley graduated from Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal,
IL, with a teaching degree.  Shirley
taught second grade at Benton
elementary school for 24 years.   She was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church in Kirksville
for 49 years; she served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of the
Presbyterian Women’s Association.  She
was a fifty year member of Beta Sigma Phi and also a member of P.E.O.


Shirley and Bob recently celebrated their 57th wedding
anniversary.  Shirley enjoyed playing the
piano, working with students, traveling and spending time with her family.


Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (September 21, 2013)
at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Michael McCormack. Burial will be in
Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.


Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at
the
