Cathy Williams, 60, of Marceline, MO, (formerly of Unionville, MO) passed away of natural causes at her home in Marceline on Friday, September 20, 2013. She had been in declining health for some years.

Cathy Ann (Anders) Williams was born in Unionville, MO, on March 12, 1953, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen Ilene (Buckallew) Anders. She grew up in Unionville and after High School she was married to Leon Williams on October 25, 1969. The couple later divorced. Two children were born to this union: Scott and Steffany.

Cathy worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) for several years at the Putnam County Care Center, the Schuyler Count Care Center and the Sullivan County Care Center. A back injury forced her into disability. She moved to Marceline in January of 2012 in order to be closer to family. Cathy enjoyed doing crochet and quilting. She also liked to attend garage sales and volunteer at the Marceline Senior Center and with the OATS program in Unionville. Cathy’s greatest joy was in spending time with her family and friends.

Cathy is survived by her children, Scott Williams and wife Mary of Marceline, MO; and Steffany Campbell and husband Ronnie of Centerville, IA; her grandchildren are Rodney Campbell, Ashley Williams and Josh Williams; step-grandchildren are Tabitha Sage and Chuck Core. Cathy’s great grandchildren are Nolyn and Rylee Campbell. Cathy is also survived by her parents, Kenneth and Ilene Anders of Unionville, MO; her sisters, Lesa Williams of Kirksville, MO; Anita Shifflet of Marion, OH; and her brothers, Gary Anders of Livonia, MO; Kelly Anders of Corydon, IA; and Tracy Anders of Moberly, MO. Cathy’s “best friend,” her dog Buster, also survives. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews survive Cathy as well.

Funeral services for Cathy Williams will be at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, with visitation on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Burial will be at the Pherigo Cemetery.
