Kenneth Eldon Maize
Kenneth Eldon Maize, 81 of Kirksville passed
away Friday (Sept. 27, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The son of Albert and Etta (Walker) Maize,
he was born January 11, 1932 in Novinger, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers, Boyd Maize and wife Gladys and Jesse Maize Sr. and wife Priscilla
Fern; and one sister, Virgie Maize.
Kenneth is survived by four nephews, Leland
Maize, Dennis Maize, Jack Maize and Jesse Maize Jr.; two nieces, Carol Jean
Maize and Karen Osborn; also several great and great great nieces and nephews
and one close family friend, Lacy Gottman.
Kenny received his education in Novinger. He
ran a sanitation route in Kirksville and surrounding communities.
His hobbies were going to the Sliver Star
Drive In Theater before it closed, Sally Mountain Show and drawing free handed.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday (Oct. 5, 2013) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Greg
Maize officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack Maize Jr., Michael
Maize, Marty Maize, Jacob Maize, Cody Maize and Leland Maize II. Honorary
bearers will be Leland Maize, Dennis Maize, Jack Maize, Jesse Maize Jr., John
Glaspie, Steven Osborn, Alan Stiles, Jason Fountain, Larry Hodge and all other
great and great great nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00
to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
