Brian Lee Hanlin
Brian Lee Hanlin, 36 of Kirksville passed away unexpectedly Friday (October 18, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The son of Jack and Stephanie (Fay) Hanlin, he was born November 2, 1976 in DeKalb, IL. Brian attended school in Geona, IL until 1991 when the family moved to Kirksville where he graduated from the Kirksville High School as an honor student in 1995. He attended Indian Hills Community College from 1995 – 1996.
Brian had a great love for his family, he was very kind hearted and loved life. He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and football where he was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed music and attending church at the Church of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed the love of his family and friends and will be sadly missed by everyone.
Brian is survived by his parents, Jack and Stephanie Hanlin of Kirksville; one brother, Bret Hanlin of Moberly, MO; his grandparents, John and Marie Fay of Cottage Grove, WI; a step-grandfather, Marion Airale of Novinger, MO; aunts and uncles, Belinda and Jeff Franklin, Jim and Peggy Hanlin, Stephan and Wendy Fay, Peter Fay, Paul Fay and Kathy Sanders; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a girl friend, Beth Meiller.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Peggy Airale and an aunt, Kathy Fay.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (October 22, 2013) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Bishop Shorus officitaing. Burial will be at a later date in Maple Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501 660-665-2233
