Waneta E. Newcomer

Waneta E. Newcomer, 92 of Kirksville passed away Thursday (October 24, 2013) at Kirksville Manor Care Center.

The daughter of Noah and Mary Ewing, she was born March 8, 1921 in Adair County, MO. She was united in marriage to John Newcomer and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronnie Newcomer; one daughter, Margaret Joan Wever; three sons-in-law, one grandchild; two great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.

Waneta is survived by her daughter, Linda Routh of Mt. View, MO; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Waneta was raised and attended school in Adair County. She worked in area nursing homes and hospitals as a nurses aid and then as an L.P.N. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working puzzle books and watching TV.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (October 29, 2013) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazel Creek Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the D avis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501 660-665-2233
