Gerald Lee Morris

Gerald Lee Morris, 60 of Kirksville passed away Thursday (December 19, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The son of Charles Seth and Beulah (Boley) Morris, he was born January 22, 1953 in Adair County, MO.

Gerald is survived by one brother, Roy Morris and wife Sharon of Fulton, MO; four sisters, Loretta Sparks of Kirksville, Lula Payne and husband Herb of Kirksville, Beulah Gardner and husband John of Kirksville and Bernice Briggs and husband Joe of Kirksville; several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great great niece and one great great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edward "Pistol" Morris and one niece, Karen Morris.

Gerald was raised in Kirksville and graduated from the Kirksville High School. He was employed at the Florsheim Shoe Factory and the Kirksville public schools. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, horseshoes, and his music. He looked forward to family dinners and being with family.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (December 22, 2013) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Ralph Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Forest-Lewellyn Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO 63501 660-665-2233
