Robert W. Abbott

Robert W. Abbott, age 73, of Plano, Texas, passed away on January 20, 2014.

He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on September 1, 1940, to Guy and Nellie Mae (West) Abbott. On December 6, 1996, Robert married Monica Mae Beres in Plano, Texas.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the service, he worked for Rockwell International, Sonburn Stationary Warehouse and Pasco.

He is survived by his wife, Monica Abbott of Plano, Texas; sons, Bob Abbott and wife Nicole of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bryan Abbott and wife Toni of Bixby, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ashlyn Nicole Abbott, Chelsie Marie Abbott, Cory James Cata, Brandon Cata and wife Sherri, Corinne Barker; great-grandchildren, Otto Cata and Isabelle Cata; brother, Phil Abbott and wife Sherridan of Irvine, California.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Nellie Abbott.

A funeral service is being held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2015 at St. John Cemetery, in Livonia, Missouri.
