Kitty Fay Jones

Kitty Fay Jones, 68 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her home.

The daughter of Samual and Dorothy (Seaman) Weindruch, she was born April 7, 1945 in Moline, IL. She was married to Dan Lefort in 1965 and to this union three children were born, Malorie, Jessica and Robby. She was later married Gary Rule in 1971 and to Terry Jones in 1979 and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robby (Rugby) Lefort and her daughter, Jessica Lefort.

Kitty is survived by her daughter, Malorie Parton Baker and friend Gerald Simonton of Kirksville; four grandchildren, Tare’ Michael Lefort and wife Michelle of Hannibal, MO, Ryan Lee Lefort and friend Erika Creason of LaPlata, MO, Abigail Louise Fay Parton of Stugeon, MO and Jacoby Dean Lefort of Hannibal, MO; three step grandchildren, Levi, Jesse and Sarah Baker of LaPlata, MO; five great grandchildren, Lathan River Lee Lefort of LaPlata, MO, Gabriel, Garrett, Gretchen and Graceland of Hannibal, MO; one brother, Sam Weindruch and wife Marie of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.

Kitty graduated from John Deere High School in Moline, IL. She worked as a telephone operator, for ConAgra in Milan, and for Maritz in Novinger until she retired. She enjoyed riding her Harley, listening to the X, following the Kansas City Chiefs, her pets, taking road trips with her kids, and spending time with her grandkids, family and friends. She had a positive attitude, loved life and was a witness for God.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday (April 7, 2014) with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Carrol Davenport officiating.
