Charles Richard “Rick” Willis

Charles Richard “Rick” Willis, 66 of Kirksville passed away Friday (May 16, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The son of Harold W. and Virginia M. (Walker) Willis Sr., he was born May 8, 1948 in Annandale, Virginia. He grew up in Annandale, Virginia where he attended school and graduated High School. He served in the United States Army for four years where he served in Vietnam. After the service he attended Truman State University. He lived in Vienna, Virginia where he worked for the Navy Federal Credit Union until he retired in 2008. After his retirement he moved to Kirksville in May of 2008. He was a gifted musician, and loved to paint and read.

Rick is survived by his father, Harold W. Willis Sr. of Kirksville; a sister-in-law, Ann Willis of Kirksville and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Wayne Willis.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (May 21, 2014) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Brother Harold Engel officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hills Cemetery.
