Ellanor F. Easley
Ellanor F. Easley, 90 of Kirksville passed away Saturday (May 31, 2014) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.
The daughter of Roy and Kern (Meek) Broyles, she was born May 26, 1924 in Adair County, Missouri. On May 20, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas she was united in marriage to Chester J. Price and he preceded her in death in 1982. On April 6, 1983 in California, Missouri she was united in marriage to Elwood Easley and he preceded her in death in 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, JenAnn Morgan, Edith Farnsworth and Jean Shoemaker; and three brothers, Kenneth, Victor and Keith Broyles.
Ellanor is survived by nephew, Jerry Garrett and wife Sue of Rocheport, MO along with several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Mildred Broyles and Ginger Broyles.
Ellanor was raised in Adair County where she attended Adair County rural schools. She worked in a defense plant during the war until 1944, traveled with a carnival, worked several years for Kraft Foods and at an Air Force base in the Dakota’s. She returned to Kirksville to make her home in 1970. She was a member of the Country Club, Good Sams Camping Chapter and the O.E.S. chapter #448.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday (June 3, 2014) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Whittom officiating. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brett Garrett, Andy Whittom, Larry Lowe, Winston Besgrove, Bill Lovegreen, and Darrell Hamilton.
