Jimmie Lee Briggs, 65 of Kirksville, MO passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Jimmie was born on August 24, 1948 in Kirksville, MO, the son of Lesco and Alberta (Decker) Briggs.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry (Wally) Briggs and a sister infancy, Nadina Briggs.

Surviving is his brothers, Lowell (Buster) Briggs, Joe Briggs and wife Bernice Briggs, Bill Briggs and wife Gena all of Kirksville, MO; sisters, Ruby Vincent and husband Forrest, and Cathy Cunningham all of Milan, MO and several nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was reared in Kirksville and attended Kirksville public schools. He worked for Fred’s Wrecker Service for several years. He also worked for Montgomery Ward and Bert Cornell. He love going to stock car races, as well as, to many out of town races.

Jimmie will be cremated and no service is scheduled.
