Donald Fisher

Donald Fisher, 78 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday (July 23, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The son of Adolph John and Ella (Edger) Fisher, he was born March 4, 1936 in New Hampton, Iowa. On August 18, 1957 in New Hampton, Iowa he was united in marriage to Mary Kelso.

Donald is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, John Fisher and wife Marilyn of Kirksville; and one daughter, Denise Beggs and husband Bill of St. Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Betty Goodrich.

Donald grew up in New Hampton, Iowa where he attended school and graduated high school. He served in the United States Army from 1955 until his discharge in 1957. He worked as a Highway patrolman in Iowa, he moved to St. Charles, MO and worked for Brinks and then worked 20 years for Kmart until he retired in 1994.

He was a member of Adair Lodge #366 A.F. & A.M.. He enjoyed fishing, camping and reading.

Donald will be cremated and no service will be held.
