Rowena Buster
Rowena Laree (Lynch) Buster, daughter of Carl and Lemma (Croft) Lynch, passed away at the age of 81 years on July 27, 2014, on the family farm near Graysville, Missouri, where she was born on June 5, 1933. She lived all but 10 years of her life on this farm.
Rowena attended grade school in Graysville, Missouri, and graduated from Unionville High School with the class of 1951. On June 2, 1951, in Salem, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Jackie C. Buster.
Rowena is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jackie; two daughters, Georgia Varner and husband Stanley of Fayette, Missouri, Autumn Buster of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; one son, Harlan Bradley Buster and wife Dana of Kirksville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Cody Papp and husband Derek of Bartlett, Illinois, Bacardy and Daylee Buster of Kirksville, Missouri; one great-grandson, Maddox James Papp of Bartlett, Illinois; son-in-law, Dr. Jim Denninghoff of Columbia, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Jim McBee and Bob Buster; two sisters-in-law, Ann Wilcox and Elaine Kramer; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sydney Denninghoff; two sisters, Carlene Hatfield and Romona McBee; brothers-in-law, Dale Hatfield and Joe Kramer; sister-in-law, Crystal Buster.
Rowena was a 10 year volunteer with the American Cancer Society collecting for the cause in the Graysville area. She also served as an election judge for Elm Township in Martinstown. Rowena kept busy in the early years running friends and neighbors to doctor’s appointments and work. She enjoyed shopping for jewelry and purses and going out to eat. Even though Rowena did not particularly like cooking, family and friends enjoyed many fine meals at her home. In her spare time, she liked reading her newspapers and watching people, especially Jackie.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Rowena requested Memorials to the Martinstown Church of Christ or the Martinstown Cemetery. Memorials may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
