Dorothy Stevens 85, passed away Monday (September 1, 2014) at her brothers home in Greentop, Missouri.

The daughter of Everett Leslie and Maude Francies (Hurley) Ruggles, she was born February 20, 1929, in Worthington, Missouri. She grew up in the Worthington area and attended the Button Rural School. In 1948 she was married to Paul Henry Wilson and to this marriage two sons were born. Dorothy worked for Elaine’s Diner and the International Shoe Factory for a few years.

In 1961 she was married to Frank Grenko and they moved to Cincinnati, Iowa, where they operated a dairy farm. He preceded her in death. Dorothy continued to live in Iowa until about six months ago when she moved to Greentop to live with her brother.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Danny Eugene Wilson of Centerville, Iowa, and Harold L. Wilson and wife Shelia of Tightwad, Missouri, brothers, Jerry Ruggles and wife Edith, Gary Hurley and wife Sharon, Rick Hurley and wife Lorraine, and Dwight Hurley and wife Joyce, sisters Lois Hurley, Sarah Brookhart, Daisy May and husband Luther, Kathy Cassady, Ann Bachman and husband Earl, and Elise Kirkpatrick and husband Ron. She is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bill Ruggles and Robert Hurley, and one sister, Rebecca Powless.

Dorothy was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Centerville, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (September 4, 2014) at the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Boyd Halford officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa.

Pallbearers will be Gary Lee Hurley, Earl Bachman, Dwight Hurley, Harold Wilson Jr., Tyler Robinson, Shane Cassady, and Gary Hurley.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday (September 4, 2014) at the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Missouri.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
